Saudi Arabia has called on US firms to participate in developing its civilian nuclear power programs, Reuters reported, citing energy minister Khalid Al-Falih.
The Kingdom is “not interested” in using nuclear technology for military purposes, and plans to restrict nuclear power to civilian use, he added, speaking to reporters after meeting with US Energy Secretary Rick Perry.
Meanwhile, Perry said it would be early to make statements about agreements with Saudi Arabia on nuclear cooperation.
