Riyadh Airports, GE ink MoU on KKIA's digital transformation

Riyadh Airports Co. (RAC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with General Electric to upgrade digitization at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in order to enhance passenger experience, operational efficiency, and productivity, the Saudi company said in a statement on Tuesday.

 

Under the deal, the software services provider GE Digital will implement several advanced digital solutions to enhance efficiency of passenger experience, cover all transit procedures such as arrival halls, luggage procedures, flight management schemes, and use new security systems. 

 

The preliminary agreement was signed by Saleh Al-Rasheed, chief executive of RAC, and Ali Saleh, general manager & chief commercial officer of GE Digital for Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, Sub-Saharan Africa (MENAT/SSA).

 

RAC has invested in the development of KKIA's operations with a special focus on digital transformation, Al-Rasheed said on the sidelines of signing the MoU.
