Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Civil Defense has signed an agreement with Cisco Saudi Arabia to establish Cisco Networking Academy with the aim to promote technology in civil defense’s field work, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing Civil Defense Director of Information Technology Yahya bin Ali Al Ghamdi.

The move aims to promote digital transformation at the civil defense, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Plan, he said.

The academy will give trainees the skills to design, build and maintain computer networks. It will also help spread technical knowledge and provide internationally recognized ICT certificates.
