State-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has signed a 15-year liquefied natural gas import deal with Royal Dutch Shell to help cater to the growing energy demand in Kuwait.
The LNG deal will provide fuel to power stations in Kuwait, state news agency KUNA reported.
No further details on the deal were provided. However, Bloomberg reported that the sales purchasing agreement with Shell International Trading Middle East Ltd. will start in 2020.
KPC has earlier secured fuel from Shell through agreements signed in 2010.
