Al Hokair Group names Omar Samara as chief executive

Abdulmohsen Al Hokair Group for Tourism & Development Co.’s board of directors has named Omar Samara as chief executive officer starting from Jan. 1 ,2018, the company said in a bourse statement.

The step was based on a board decision to restructure the management and separate the job roles of managing director and CEO. Both positions were previously held by Sami Al Hokair, who will maintain his role as the company’s managing director.

Samara has served as Al Hokair’s vice CEO since July 2017. He has also held many senior positions in major companies in the Kingdom.
