The Saudi transport ministry has withdrawn 40 projects from contractors over the last four months due to their failure to comply with contractual provisions, deputy transport minister Saad Alkhalb told Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
"We will invite new bids to resume execution of these projects," Alkhalb added.
The transport ministry has charted out a plan to speed up the execution of stalled projects across the Kingdom, including all phases of project execution, he stated.
Meanwhile, the ministry of economy and planning said it will conduct a comprehensive study of the public transport network project within the coming three months, SPA said.
