Registration for third phase of Citizen’s Account open until January 10

Registration for the third phase of the Citizen’s Account program will be open on the program’s online portal until Wednesday, Jan. 10.

The Citizen’s Account aims to mitigate the direct and indirect impact on low and medium income households resulting from the ongoing economic reforms such as the gasoline price adjustment, the electricity tariffs adjustment, and value added tax (VAT).

The first payment under the initiative was disbursed on Dec. 21, 2017, with a total of SAR 2 billion paid out to about three million families.

Meanwhile, eligibility results for the second phase were announced earlier this week.

Payments under the second phase will be deposited on Jan. 10 in the bank accounts of beneficiaries registered before Dec. 16, 2017.
