Snow storm covers parts of Saudi desert

29/01/2018 Argaam

The Tabuk region in Saudi Arabia has been hit by a rare snowstorm that has covered the desert area since Friday, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Northern areas including Jabal Al-Lawz, Al-Zuhr, and Alqan were blanketed by a white sheet of snow as temperatures dropped.

The Kingdom’s civil defense has issued a snow emergency warning and spread its teams across the area.
