10 things to consider as Tadawul starts trading

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Tuesday.

 

1) Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance Co. (Bupa Arabia) said its net profit before zakat stood at SAR 101.2 million for Q4 2017, down nearly 48 percent year-on-year (YoY).

 

2) Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Co.’s (Arabian Shield) net profit before zakat for Q4 2017 was SAR 42 million, a decline of 6 percent YoY.

 

3) Malath Cooperative Insurance Co. (Malath Insurance) reported a net profit before zakat of SAR 4.03 million in Q4 2017, against net losses of SAR 24.75 million in Q4 2016.

 

4) Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (ACIG) turned to net profit of SAR 2.7 million in Q4 2017, compared to a net loss of SAR 4.5 million in the same period of 2016.

 

5) Al Tayyar Travel Group Holding Co. (Al Tayyar) plans to focus on growing its online unit globally, while developing its hospitality business to align with Saudi Arabia’s tourism reforms under Vision 2030, CEO Abdullah Aldawood told Argaam.

 

6) Abdulmohsen Al Hokair Holding Group (Al Hokair Group) and UK's Vue International have signed a MoU to build up to 30 multiplexes in the Kingdom over the next three years.

 

7) Mulkia-Gulf Real Estate Fund will distribute dividend to unit holders on a quarterly basis for fiscal year 2018 after obtaining approval of the board of directors, fund manager Mulkia Investment Co. said.

 

8) Saudi Company for Hardware (SACO) plans to open four showrooms in 2018, and another seven branches during 2019-2020, as part of its expansion plans in Saudi Arabia and the GCC.

 

9) Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair Co. (Alhokair) has developed a strategy to tap the fragrance and cosmetics market, according to chief financial officer Mohammed Abbaoui. He also ruled out store closures this year.

 

10) Crude oil prices edged higher on Tuesday. Brent crude was last trading up 0.6 percent at $62.95/bbl while WTI crude rose 0.5 percent to $59.57/bbl.
