Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Labor and Social Development and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of cooperation to boost Saudization in the telecom industry.
Both ministries will approve the short-and-long term Saudization plans, target sectors and jobs, and the training programs necessary for the sector’s growth, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
They will also boost human capital localization, by providing job opportunities to citizens and enhancing their skills as well as providing an attractive work environment in the private sector.
Other Saudization plans include enhancing the national cadres’ contribution to the labor market and cooperation in training programs, supporting employment of Saudi women and benefiting from the programs of the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf).
The memorandum, which was inked by labor minister, Nasser Al Ghafis, and communications minister, Abdullah Al Swaha, aims to enhance human capital development among all employees, professionals and experts in the sector.
