Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) is no longer a beneficiary of government subsidy and now it relies solely on internal resources, the company's director general, Saleh Al Jasser told Argaam.
“We have successfully cut expenses and seek to boost revenue by offering high-quality service and by expanding fleet," he said.
Such measures are meant to improve the company's financial position and help it fare better vis-à-vis competition and increasing service costs, he added.
The company announced yesterday a strategic roadmap, whereby it seeks to become a five-star carrier, and among the top five worldwide.
