Electricity and Cogeneration Regulatory Authority (ECRA) will amend licensing fees for several services starting next year, the board of directors said in a decision.
The license fees cover four services: electricity transmission; electricity distribution; desalinated water transfer, and the principal buyer license.
According to the Kingdom’s official gazette, the license fees for nine services, however, will be calculated through multiplying the total licensed capacity plus price of licensed capacity/each by the required financing.
These services will include power from fixed generators, power from mobile generators, power generation using renewable energy techniques, power cogeneration, water desalination, and district cooling.
