Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Walt Disney’s chief executive, Robert Bob Allen Iger, in Los Angeles and explored opportunities for potential cooperation in entertainment, culture and film-making industry, the official SPA reported on Wednesday.
They also discussed the opportunities offered by Saudi Arabia in terms of infrastructure, high demand for the services and products offered by Walt Disney, and the possible means to attract them to the Kingdom.
Saudi Ambassador to the US Prince Khalid bin Salman and the Crown Prince’s official delegation also attended the meeting.
Prince Mohammed had earlier said that strengthening the entertainment sector could bring the Kingdom about $22 billion, which are spent by Saudi citizens outside of the country on tourism and entertainment, Argaam reported.
Last September, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) said it was planning to develop an investment arm to target the Kingdom's growing entertainment sector with an initial capitalization of SAR 10 billion.
