Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) said the French investments in the Kingdom are estimated at more than SAR 80 billion, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

France is one of the leading investors in Saudi Arabia, as it has around 179 licensed projects in the Kingdom, in fields such as the energy, water and sanitation, and pharmaceuticals, SAGIA said.

The French projects were granted utility, commercial and industrial licenses, in addition to temporary permits and a license for a scientific and technical office.

Service licenses account for 108 of the total permits issued to France, followed by the industrial licenses at 45 permits, it added.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in France on Sunday in an official visit, accompanied by a delegation of ministers and state-officials.
