Saudi Aramco signed these 8 deals with French firms

Saudi Aramco signed on Tuesday a number of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with French companies, including a deal with Total to build a petrochemical complex in Jubail worth $9 billion.

The agreements were signed during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s official visit to France.

Here’s a look at the deals signed:

1) An MoU with France’s Total SA for the development of a petrochemical complex integrated with the existing SATORP refinery. The plant will produce more than 2.7 million metric tons of high value chemicals.

2) Another deal was signed with Total on evaluating the feasibility of jointly acquiring a retail service station network in Saudi Arabia.

3) Aramco’s affiliate Saudi Arabian Industrial Investments Co. (Dussur) signed an MoU with Veolia Environment for wastewater treatment.

4) Dussur inked another MoU with Suez for industrial wastewater treatment.

5) Aramco signed a purchase agreement with Technip FMC for wellhead and surface control equipment.

6) Another purchase deal was with Schneider Electric to manage the installed base of Process Automation System (PAS) and Remote Terminal Units (RTU).

7) King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) signed an MoU with Institut Du Monde Arabe (Arab World Institute) to enrich content through exchanging of expertise and initiatives such as travelling exhibits, staff training, and workshop development.

8) Ithra also inked a deal with Centre Pompidou to exchange cultural expertise and work on initiatives in the form of travelling exhibits, collaborating or co-curating on exhibits, museum development, performances, culture exchange programs, talks and forums, staff training and workshop development.
