Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health has completed a comprehensive study on opening up nine fields of business to private sector partnerships, the health privatization program said.
The nine sectors are as follows: health centers, operating hospitals and new medical cities, radiology, rehabilitation, extended care, home care, laboratories, pharmacies, and logistics.
Under the National Transformation Program 2020, Saudi Arabia aims to expand privatization by increasing the private sector’s contribution in healthcare spending to 35 percent from 25 percent.
