30/04/2018 Argaam

State-owned Saudi Aramco on Monday awarded four three-year contracts for Rowan jack-up rigs to ARO Drilling.

US-based Rowan Companies will prepare four of its idle jack-ups rigs for operations, including all contractually required modifications.

The rigs will then be leased to ARO Drilling, which will operate the rigs in the Kingdom, Rowan said in a press statement.

The leasing process will commence from Q3 2018 until early 2019.

ARO Drilling is an equally owned joint venture between Aramco and Rowan.
