Abu Dhabi's total trade with Saudi Arabia amounted to $381.47 million (AED1.4 billion) during January, a year-on-year increase of 3.7 percent, UAE's state news agency WAM reported, citing Statistics Centre-Abu Dhabi (SCAD).
Abu Dhabi’s imports from Saudi Arabia were valued at AED 950 million in January, compared to the AED 888 million recorded in the same month last year.
Re-exports increased from AED 152 million to AED 230 million, while exports were valued at AED 205 million compared to AED 300 million.
According to SCAD, the trade with the Gulf country represented around 11.3 percent of the emirate’s total trade with other nations, which was valued at AED 12.4 billion.
The total trade between Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia was valued at AED 17.4 million in 2017, comprising 11.1 percent of the emirate’s total trade with countries around the world by the end of December last year.
