Saudi Arabia's Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has imposed fines of SAR 11.6 million on Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) and Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) citing various violations.
STC was fined SAR 6.65 million for nine violations, including incompatible SIM cards and failure to fulfill subscriber complaints, the telecom regulator said in a statement on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Mobily, the Kingdom’s second-largest mobile operator, was fined SAR 5 million, on failure to apply the telecom regulator’s decision for per-second billing.
