Expat remittances from Saudi Arabia rise 3% in April

Remittance outflows by expatriates in Saudi Arabia rose 3 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 11.7 billion in April, data issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.

 

Compared to March, expat remittances dropped 8 percent, or SAR 1.1 billion.

Remittances sent by Saudi nationals to other countries jumped 27 percent YoY to SAR 4.94 billion in April. 

 

On a month-on-month basis, these remittances fell by SAR 1.33 billion in the same period.
