Saudi labor ministry sets August 1 deadline for paying expat fees

Saudi Arabia’s ministry of labor and social development has set Aug. 1 as the deadline for companies to pay the expatriate work license fees.

Services will be suspended for non-paying firms, the ministry said on its website.

According to data compiled by Argaam, the ministry of labor has extended in February the deadline for paying the expat fees for six months. It gave firms the option to pay the bill on three installments.

The collective invoice includes the difference in work license fees issued for expats before the beginning of the year and extenda after Jan. 1, 2018, without taking into account the expatriate workers who permanently left the country or changed services before Jan. 1, 2018.
