Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) is planning to place a possible order for Boeing 777X widebody jets, Reuters reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.
However, the time or order size is not known, it said.
In November, Saudia director-general Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser said that a wide-body jet order would be considered in 2018.
Saudia operates a mixed fleet of 148 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, including 777 twin-engined jets.
The airline has been restructuring since 2005, selling non-core businesses, as it intends to return to profitability by 2020.
