Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC) plans to start operations atf 11 electricity projects in the southern areas during the second half of the year at a total value of SAR 1.23 billion, the company said in a statement.
The projects aim to enhance the reliability of electricity connections for customers in cities, villages and various residential communities.
Operating the said projects will include establishing and connecting transmission stations and implementing overhead lines, the company said.
SEC noted that the current month will see the operation of the Jubail power plant (132/33KV).
Moreover, the Saudi-listed company highlighted that the Shaqiq steam power plant will be completed in the next few months at a total cost of SAR 12.23 billion with a capacity of 2,640 MW.
