SATORP refinery exports first gasoline barrels to US

SATORP refinery in Jubail has shipped its RBOB gasoline to the United States for the first time.

 

The 400,000 barrels-per-day refinery, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and French company Total, said in a tweet last week that it had sent a shipment of reformulated blendstock gasoline (RBOB) to the US.

 

No details were given on the exact destination or whether those barrels had arrived yet.

 

RBOB prices have been trading at seasonal three-year highs as crude has rallied in the midst of the busy US summer driving season, according to Reuters.

 

Cash prices for the product in New York Harbor were at 2.00 cents per gallon above the futures benchmark on the New York Mercantile Exchange on Tuesday, the highest seasonally since 2015.
