Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) plans to commercially provide statistic studies to the private sector within the next three months, aiming to support investment decisions makers, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing Fahad Altekhaifi, GASTAT’s President.
GASTAT will offer these studies in cooperation with Saudi and international consultancy offices, he said.
As part of the first stage, GASTAT has chosen a Saudi partner to provide its statistical products that can benefit in implementing domestic projects or aid those who need clear data in order to set their business strategies.
Through these partnerships, GASTAT will support the private sector’s statistical sector with training, consulting, conducting studies and establishing indexes for a certain economic activity, he added.
