Saudi Arabia’s newly established non-oil revenue development center aims to implement unified tools and plans in order to develop the state’s non-oil revenues and improve government agencies’ collection procedures.
The center’s objectives include the following:
1) Supporting government agencies’ initiatives and Vision 2030 programs aiming to increase non-oil revenues efficiency in order to guarantee their approval and execution.
2) Supervising the implementation of approved initiatives, help government agencies overcome any related obstacles and practically develop these plans.
3) Voice suggestions related to raising the collection efficiency of government revenues, as well as the implementation of Vision 2030, and presenting them for approval.
4) Voicing suggestions related to increasing non-oil revenues and presenting them for approval.
The Riyadh-based center is a financially and administratively independent body that is linked to the Minister of Finance. It holds the right to open offices across the Kingdom as needed.
Earlier this month, the cabinet decided to restructure the Non-Oil Revenue Development Unit, and rename it the Non-Oil Revenue Development Center.
