Prices of 124 goods and services in Saudi Arabia increased year-on-year (YoY) in June, while prices of 35 commodities declined, official data issued by the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.
Among a total of 88 food products, prices of 15 items declined YoY in June, while prices of other 72 products increased.
Chinese garlic saw the biggest drop at 31 percent YoY, while prices of Lurpak butter jumped the most by 27 percent.
As for non-food commodities, the prices of 14 items increased in June, with laundry detergent rising the most by 7 percent, while women’s dresses dropped by 1 percent.
Elsewhere, prices of 6 services rose in June compared to a year earlier, while 7 services saw a decline.
Prices of most fodder and livestock products increased last month.
Meanwhile, prices of 11 construction materials declined, while 26 materials increased. Concrete 250k prices saw the biggest drop of 5 percent, while the prices of Rebar 10mm rose the most by 30 percent.
