UAE's Al Futtaim and Al Zarooni Emirates Investments have acquired "significant" minority stakes in The Entertainer, majority shareholder GFH Financial Group said in a statement on Saturday.
The unit of Bahrain's GFH Financial Group said it and the investors aim to "double The Entertainer's size over the next three years.”
Founded in 2001 by Australian businesswoman Donna Benton in the UAE, The Entertainer is valued at $150 million.
The lifestyle app offers consumers across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa discounts on spa days, brunches, hotel stays and golf, among other deals
