UAE cuts diesel, raises petrol prices in August

01/08/2018 Argaam Special

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) cut diesel prices and raised petrol prices for the month of August, while Oman and Qatar left prices unchanged, compared to the same month of the last year.

The UAE has the highest fuel prices for August among GCC countries, followed by Oman and Qatar. Kuwait recorded the lowest fuel prices among GCC states.

Saudi Arabia raised retail gasoline prices, and kept diesel and kerosene prices unchanged as of January 1, 2018, under a wide-range spending rationalization plan.

Bahrain has also revised prices of both types of retail gasoline for 2018.
