Saudi Arabia to transfer scholarship students from Canada

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Education is working on setting up and implementing an urgent plan to facilitate the transfer of Saudi scholarship recipients in Canada to other countries. The plan will be announced soon, ministry spokesman Mubarak Al-Osaimi tweeted Monday.

 

The Kingdom has decided to suspend educational exchange programs with Ottawa, following the latest directives regarding Canada's interference in Saudi Arabia's internal affairs.

 

Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday said  that the country will freeze all new trade and investment with Canada.

 

The Kingdom recalled its ambassador to Ottawa and ordered the Canadian envoy to Riyadh to leave within 24 hours.
