Saudi halts medical treatment programs in Canada

Saudi Arabia has stopped all medical treatment programs in Canada and is coordinating for the transfer of all Saudi patients from Canadian hospitals to hospitals outside the North American country, state-owned Saudi Press Agency said on Wednesday.

Saudi Health Attaché in the United States of America and Canada, Dr Fahd bin Ibrahim Al Tamimi said the mission would ensure Saudi patients complete their treatment elsewhere.

Saudi Arabia froze new trade and investment with Canada and expelled the Canadian ambassador on Monday, over its “interference” in the Kingdom's internal affairs.
