H+E MFT, part of Swiss oil and gas industry water systems company Aquarion Group, has been awarded a project for design, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of a water treatment plant in Saudi Arabia, it said in a recent statement.

The plant, which will supply approximately 50,000 cubic metres per day (m3/day) of drinking water to a customer in the utilities sector, will consist of six production lines and a total of 42 modularized containers housing the water treatment system with integrated "zero liquid discharge."

Germany-based H+E MFT has successfully completed the factory acceptance test (FAT) in Cologne for the first of the two production lines, which has now been shipped to the Kingdom.  It did not give the customer name nor the value of the contract.

The project is expected to be commissioned early 2019.

Aquarion Group provides advanced water systems, solutions and technologies for the oil & gas industry, the energy sector and other process industries through H+E Group, its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and turnkey solutions operating company.
