Saudi British Bank joins R3’s blockchain ecosystem

The Saudi British Bank (SABB) has become the first bank in the Kingdom to join US-based enterprise software firm R3’s global blockchain ecosystem, it announced on Tuesday.

 

SABB will be able to actively participate and work towards the development of solutions based on blockchain to meet the growing needs of its customers using Corda, its open-source blockchain platform, said David E Rutter, CEO, R3.

 

R3 is an enterprise blockchain software firm working with a broad ecosystem of more than 200 members and partners across multiple industries from both the private and public sectors.
