Cargo volumes increased at Saudi ports in September

The total tonnage of cargo volume handled by Saudi Arabia’s ports during September 2018 reached 22.29 million tonnes.

 

This marked a 2.18 percent increase over the same period last year, according to data released by Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani).

The number of vessels in Saudi ports during the month of September reached 1,056, said the Saudi Press Agency report.

 

Meanwhile, the total number of transshipment containers in Saudi ports increased by more than 19 percent during the first six months of 2018.
