Saudi King Salman on Tuesday laid cornerstone for 18 water and sewage projects worth over SAR 1.5 billion in Tabuk, the Saudi Press Agency reported, citing a statement from the General Directorate of Water in Tabuk.
Nine projects were launched for water and sewage networks at a total value exceeding SAR 850 million.
Other water desalination plants were set up, along with water wells and Wadi Dabaan dam, which has a daily capacity of 957,000 cubic meters.
King Salman also laid foundations for nine projects at a total investment cost of SAR 600 million for water networks and household connections.
These developments included the establishment of four dams in Tabuk with a combined capacity of 5.9 million cubic meters, in addition to a desalination plant on the western coast.
Yesterday, the Saudi King inaugurated 151 development projects worth over SAR 11.8 billion in Tabuk, Argaam reported.
