Saudi Arabia’s King Salman launched industrial projects worth more than SAR 260 million in Tabuk and Al Jouf, Khaled Al-Salem, director general said in a statement on Thursday.
These projects will be undertaken by Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), the statement said.
“More than SAR 45 million worth of development projects was launched in Tabuk Industrial City, including infrastructure projects and eight new plants for entrepreneurs,” Al-Salem added.
King Salman also laid foundation for Modon Oasis in Al-Jouf worth SAR 220 million, he noted, adding that infrastructure works will begin in the new facility by Q2 2019.
The project, spanning three million square meters, comprises land plots for industrial purposes, in addition to six existing plants.
The new facility is expected to offer logistics services and will include a number of industries as well as investment zones.
