Dutch marine engineer Boskalis signed a long-term agreement (LTA) with Saudi Aramco to work on the offshore facilities of the state oil giant, the company said in a statement on Monday.
Under the terms of the LTA, Boskalis will act in a consortium with UAE-based oil rig constructor, Lamprell Plc, on an Aramco program to invest $3 billion annually for six years, the statement said.
Boskalis will be responsible for the transport and installation of the offshores structures, in addition to dredging activities and specialist subsea activities, including survey as well as pipeline and cable installation.
“In 2019, we will focus on tendering and building up our local organization in preparation of the execution of projects, as the agreement is expected to generate millions of euros revenue for us," Peter Berdowski, CEO of Boskalis, said.
