Saudi Arabia-based construction company, CEPCO, has invested in Nomadd Desert Solar Solutions, a solar photovoltaic (PV) cleaning technology company in the Kingdom, according to a statement from the financial advisory firm Apricum.

Apricum acted as a financial advisor to Nomadd for the transaction as the investment will support the cleaning company’s current project pipeline and further strengthen its growth ambitions.

Apricum said the group’s “patented PV cleaning robot system is ideally placed to serve the burgeoning growth of PV installations in dusty environments such as the Middle East and Africa (MENA).”

“With CEPCO’s manufacturing and engineering expertise, we will be able to optimize and commercialize our patented robot technology, reducing costs and providing a superior, cost-effective cleaning solution to our customers,” Jos van der Hyden, co-founder and CEO of NOMADD, said.
