Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and Umrah Ministry signed on Dec. 3 a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with online travel agents (OTA), Agoda, to increase the Kingdom’s capacity to over 30 million pilgrims, a statement said.
Under the agreement, Agoda will utilize its technology, marketing platform and resources to achieve that goal, which is part of Vision 2030.
The MoU is the ministry’s first deal with a global OTA.
Vision 2030 aims to increase the number of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to 15 million annually by 2020 and 30 million by 2030.
