Saudi Arabia will host today the 39th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit, chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Alyaum newspaper reported.
The summit will focus on bolstering the GCC cooperation in the political, defense, economic and legal fields.
Talks will focus on strategic military cooperation and regional affairs, including the situation in Yemen, Syria, Palestine and Iraq, as well as the Iranian file. A number of issues, not on the summit agenda, may also be addressed.
The previous GCC summit was held in Kuwait in December 2017.
