Petrochemical giant Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) inaugurated the Kingdom’s first Human Resources (HR) Think Tank in Riyadh, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
The primary goal of the Think Tank will be to share its experiences in human capital development and help develop a productive workforce capable of steering Saudi Arabia towards future economic success, the statement said.
“We have now initiated the HR Think Tank to share our expertise in the critical area of human resource development in line with our efforts to enable Saudi Vision 2030,” Yousef Al-Benyan, SABIC vice chairman and CEO, said.
The Think Tank also helped establish an ongoing platform where HR professionals and leaders can meet and learn from one another.
The initiative was first announced last year when SABIC and the Ministry of Civil Service signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to exchange views and experiences in human resource development and contribute to the realization of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
