State-backed Flyadeal aims to take a decision soon about purchasing 50 new aircraft, MEED reported on Sunday, citing the airline’s chief executive Con Korfiatis.
The budget carrier is studying two offers from Boeing and Airbus for purchasing 737 MAX 8 and A320neo planes, respectively, he added.
Flyadeal said it expects to expand its fleet to 11 aircraft by the end of this year, and to 50 aircraft by 2023, Argaam earlier reported.
Saudia's subsidiary, Flyadeal became the fifth domestic airline in Saudi Arabia when it launched services in September 2017.
