Formula E’s debut race in Saudi Arabia, that ended on Sunday, has been hailed a success, with drivers praising the track, motor sport fans being treated to a thrilling race, and tens of thousands enjoying an unprecedented offering of live music, entertainment and culture.

The grand event was organized by a partnership of Formula E, the General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia (GSA) and the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation (SAMF).

The video features interviews with Susie Wolff (Venturi Formula E Team as Team Principal: first speaker); Princess Nouf bint Khalid AlSaud (GSA: second speaker) and Jérôme D’Ambrosio of Belgium, the Mahindra Racing driver (Formula E 3rd place: third speaker).

Wolff discusses how happy she is to see both men and women participate in Formula E since the women were able to participate in the grand event by testing the cars.

Princess Nouf says that she is elated to see Saudi Arabia make history and chuckles that she has goosebumps seeing this momentous wave of progress and how this event is paving way for both women and youths to participate in karting and racing.

D’Ambrosio reiterates that he is happy to experience the great atmosphere and lots of great people in Saudi Arabia and that racing is a sport that sees no gender and is open to all.
