Saudi Research and Marketing Group appoints new chairman

Saudi Research and Marketing Group’s (SRMG) board of directors has appointed

Abdulrahman Ibrahim Al Ruwaitie as the new Chairman, effective Dec. 29, 2018, the company said in a bourse filing.

 

Al Ruwaitie will remain in office until the end of the current term on May 20, 2021.

 

Al Ruwaitie held a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Southern California. He worked as a Chairman of Halwani Bros. Co., and a director in several other firms including Emaar the Economic City (Emaar EC) and Jadwa Investment.

 

The board of directors also approved the resignation of Chairman, Ghassan Al-Shibl on Dec. 29.

 

Ghassan Al-Shibl was appointed by Saudi King Salman on Thursday, Dec. 27, as the new Chairman of the board of directors of the Local Content and Government Procurement Commission.
