Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) was ranked 11th in the world’s on-time performance (OTP) star rating for large airports in 2018, a report issued by the Official Airlines Guide (OAG) website said.

The airport’s commitment to the arrival and departure time within 15 minutes of schedule reached 80.6 percent.

In 2018, KKIA entered the top 20 list of the world’s best airports in terms of departure and arrival time. It was outranked a year earlier.

This achievement reflects Riyadh Airports Co.’s positive performance and advancement towards more achievements, the firm said.

Meanwhile, Abha Airport came second in the small airports category with 86.6 percent.

King Fahad International Airport in Dammam was ranked second in the top medium-sized airports at 87.34 percent for the year.
