The Saudi National Industrial Cluster Development Program on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC), Korean OCI Company Ltd. and a Chinese firm for green technology to build factories for carbon black, polysilicon, cells and solar panels.
The deal was signed on the sidelines of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), held this year under the theme “Industry Convergence: Accelerating Sustainable Development.”
Under the MoU, the participants will explore developing state-of-the art integrated manufacturing and production facilities for carbon black, solar grade polysilicon, photovoltaic ingots, wafers, cells and panels in the Kingdom.
