NEOM's construction to begin in a few months: CEO

Construction works on the NEOM project are set to begin within the next few months, Nazmi Al Nasr, the project’s chief executive officer told Argaam in an exclusive interview.

“The project is halfway in terms of developing strategies for each sector separately, in addition to an integrated strategy for the entire project,” Nasr said on the sidelines of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) launch ceremony.

“There is a focus on communicating with local and foreign investors as they are a major part of the project’s financing. Investments will be attracted to partner with the government in financing the project,” he further added.

“NEOM is the first beneficiary of the NIDLP,” Nasr concluded.

Earlier in January, NEOM’s founding council approved the strategic concept of the outline of NEOM Bay, the first inhabited area to be developed in NEOM.
