Pan-Asia launches SAR 3.9 bln manufacturing plant in in Saudi Arabia

Pan-Asia PET Resin (Guangzhou) Co., one of the leading polyethylene terephthalate bottle suppliers in China, launched its basic and manufacturing industries plant in Jazan, it said in a statement.

 

The project, at a total cost of SAR 3.9 billion, will produce PET and PTA, used in the packaging and fabric industries, it said.

 

Leveraging on Jazan Port’s unique location, the firm plans to export the plant’s production to Africa and Europe.

 

According to data compiled by Argaam, the Chinese firms said in June 2017 that it plans to break ground at a new petrochemicals plant in Saudi Arabia’s Jazan Economic City in March 2018.
