Riyadh Airports Co. (RAC) signed agreements to develop King Khalid International Airport's (KKIA) air cargo area as part of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), Saudi Press Agency reported.
The first deal was signed with Zajil Ship Co. and TNT Express Shipping Co., while the second one was closed with Singapore's SATS Ltd for the licensing of ground handling services at KKIA.
Under the first agreement, a space was allocated for Zajil and TNT in the cargo area.
On the other hand, SATS will build, manage and operate another air cargo building on a total area of 60,000 square meters. The new facility will have an annual capacity of 800,000 tons, including transit shipments.
No further details were mentioned about the value of both deals.
