Hospitality chain Hilton is planning to expand its footprint in the Middle East with Saudi Arabia having the largest number of its hotels in development, Saudi Gazette reported, quoting Carlos Khneisser, VP of Development, Middle East and North Africa.
“Our strong relationships with owners over time have allowed us to grow to 11 hotels and notably to build a pipeline of 35 new hotels under development, which will add over 10,000 new rooms in the coming three to five years in Saudi Arabia,” Khneisser said on the sidelines of the Saudi Hotel Investment Conference.
“This represents our largest pipeline in the Middle East and the confidence we have in the strength of the Saudi market with increasing demand for business, leisure and religious tourism,” he added.
Hilton has confirmed three new additions to its Saudi hotel pipeline in the shape of newly agreed projects with two different investment partners.
